H O W   I T   W O R K S

My portraits are highly detailed and capture the very essence and personality of your pets, horses and loved ones. I adore receiving emails and letters from customers with how happy they are with their artwork and being sent pictures of their one of a kind commissioned artwork beautifully framed and proudly displayed on their walls.

If you would like to commission a portrait for yourself or a loved one you have come to the right place. Below you will find a guide how the commission process works.

Step 1 ~ Decide which size you would like.

If you are looking to commission a portrait you may already have a good idea of what you are after. Take a look at the gallery and prices to get a good idea of the size you would like your portrait to be.

Step 2 ~ Contact

Once you have decided on size , Contact me via email and give me a brief description of what subject and size you would like. If the commission is a gift it may not always be possible to create the artwork for a special date, in this instance I offer personalised gift vouchers so your loved one can open on the special day.

Step 3 ~ Photographs

Once I have responded its then time to send over photos of your pet or loved one, please see tips for taking photos  to see what quality of photos to send. Send over as many photos as you like, I prefer to have a selection of photos to help me judge fur colouring and textures. If you are commissioning an artwork with more than one subject I can work from separate photographs and combine them in on the drawing, in this instance it would be helpful to have a photograph of the subjects together to judge the sizes of the subjects.

Step 4 ~ Mock up if required

Once photographs have been decided I will create a watermarked mock up image on photoshop which will be sent to you, this will give an opportunity to decide on composition and positioning for multiple subjects. The mock up image will give you an idea what your finished artwork will look like.

Step 5 ~ Booking Payment

Once you are happy to go ahead with the commission a booking payment invoice via PayPal will be sent to you. Once paid you will be put on the commission list to secure your estimated commission time spot.  Please read and agree to Terms and Conditions before paying booking fee

Step 6 ~ Work begins

Once your estimated commission time slot comes up the artwork can begin. I will post regular updates throughout the various stages of the process on facebook, blog and instagram (unless of course it is a secret gift, please let me know at time of placing your order) . Once complete a watermarked image will be sent to you for final approval.

Step 7 ~ Balance of Payment

A final invoice will be sent to you for balance of payment once you are happy with your completed artwork . Once invoice has been paid your completed artwork , certificate of authenticity and care sheet will be securely packed.

Step 8 ~ Shipping

All orders will be sent recorded and insured special next day delivery. Once you receive your artwork please let me know it has arrived safely and kindly send me a review via email.
